The toilet facility is estimated to cost RMB5.23 million ($821,600 million) and will be located at a tourist site in China’s Sichuan province.
The five-star toilet will resemble an ancient courtyard, with toilets for the disabled and elderly. It will feature a lounge, a tea-table, a TV set, and a fish tank. It will also feature a room for nursing mothers with wi-fi access throughout.
Du Fu Thatched Cottage is the residence of Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD) poet Du Fu. A spokesperson from the Du Fu museum said that the other three restrooms will be upgraded to “star-rated” status.
