Incorporating sustainable elements in its design, the new 280,000 square feet LEED-certified building features industry leading safety standards. Being the first commercial building in the country to qualify as FORTIFIED by the Institute for Business & Home Safety, the building can withstand natural hazards such as hurricanes, wildfires, and windstorms.
As a LEED-certified building, the facility follows the rules of the certification, which covers water and electricity usage, waste management, tree preservation, the use of natural light and ergonomic design of interior spaces.
It also features a high tech cafe, onsite health services, fitness centre, outdoor sports court and landscaped courtyards with walking paths. To provide comfort and flexibility to the employees, it also features flexible sit to stand workstations.
Currently housing nearly 1,500 Nationwide associates, the new LEED-certified facility is designed to house total of 2,000 employees.
