Running from Vauxhall station through the heart of Embassy Gardens and the adjacent new US Embassy to Battersea Power Station, the new Linear Park is a kilometre-long beautiful green avenue. Forming the centrepiece of the Embassy Gardens development and the wider nine Elms regeneration area, the Linear Park is modelled on New York’s High Line.
Featuring open green commons and majestic tree-lined streets, the park will be designed by the landscape architects Camlins. Sprawling over 200 hectares, the masterplan of the new park includes ample open green space and accessible communal areas.
Adding to the green landscape of London, the 24-hour Linear Park is scheduled to open in 2014.
Masterplanned by globally-renowned architect Sir Terry Farrell, Nine Elms has been described as ‘London’s third city.’ Embassy Gardens, by Ballymore Group, forms the centrepiece of Nine Elms on the South Bank. It offers 1,982 luxury suites, one and two bedroom apartments and three-bedroom penthouses which will be ready for residents from 2015. Influenced by the architectural style of New York’s meatpacking district and London’s Victorian and Edwardian mansion blocks, the apartments have a unique and distinctive style. It also offers a vibrant mix of bars and restaurants and 130,000 square feet of retail.
