Consort Healthcare (Birmingham) won the contract alongside Building Design Partnership, with the construction being undertaken by Birmingham New Hospitals Joint-Venture (BNHJV), comprised of Balfour Beatty Construction and Haden Young. Appointed flooring contractors Tyndale Flooring Ltd prepared all substrates and installed floor coverings.
A system of eco-friendly Mapei products was specified, consisting of Mapeproof ESM surface membrane, Eco Prim T primer, Latexplan Trade self-levelling compound and Ultrabond ECO VS90 adhesive, which was used for most of the vinyl installation.
