Keith Hawksworth, currently CEO, is to become chairman, succeeding Jim Lammie, who is retiring. Both appointments are effective from January 1, 2010.

George Pierson will retain his position as COO Officer of PB’s Americas division and Stuart Glenn will continue in his role as COO, International. George Pierson joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2006 and was appointed COO Americas in January 2008.

The acquisition of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a professional services company, for GBP380 million ($626 million) was completed in October 2009 and achieves a number of key strategic objectives for Balfour Beatty including the development of a global professional services business and the further strengthening of its US presence.

Balfour Beatty is the international infrastructure group operating in construction services, professional services, support services and infrastructure investments.
