The project involves addition of four stories to the existing structure of one storey and a basement, which increases the area of the hospital to 70,000 square feet.

It boasts of 114 new private patient rooms, which include 24 new beds at the Intensive Care Unit, 60 private general medical care rooms and 30 private post-partum rooms for moms and babies are added to the unit. Two negative pressure isolation rooms at each floor have also been set up for infectious patients.

Other renovations include up gradation of the basement footings and construction of columns and beams to meet the State’s seismic standards for hospitals.
