The new modular hotel is the first contract won by Sisk+Corus Modular Construction, an alliance between John Sisk & Son Ltd and Corus Living solutions. European airport hotels provider citizenM’s new hotel is designed by Dutch practice Concrete Architectural Associates.
Work on the hotel commenced in late June 2009. The combined expertise of Sisk’s in-depth hotel market knowledge and Corus’ automotive-style production efficiencies is expected to make the scheme delivered in just 44 weeks using off-site construction technology. Located next to the landmark Theatre Royal, the hotel is conveniently located for travelers visiting the city center.
The hotel is distinct with full height windows and exterior artwork installation, creating an interesting and unique facade in line with the citizenM brand.
John Sisk & Son, one of the largest construction groups in the UK and Ireland, and Corus Living Solutions, the North Wales-based modular manufacturing division of Corus, have established ‘Sisk+Corus Modular Construction’ (Sisk+Corus), an alliance that aims to provide modular accommodation solutions to the hotel and student accommodation sectors.
