The officials announced that it will open to the public in September 2010. An extra 500,000 square feet area will be added to the retail center, which will turn it into a super regional mall.
The expansion also includes an extension to the main mall building. Additional levels for shops are constructed. A five-star hotel is also being developed on the site by Jumeirah Group.
Earlier the mall covered an area of 108,000 square meters and featured two levels of retail, dining, entertainment outlets and more than 1000 covered car park areas. It encloses five entertainment facilities, including an ice rink, a bowling center, four cinemas, kids play area (Action Zone), and a food court.
