The new piece of furniture will be showcased at the new Ahrend facility that is opening this March in Dubai. The desk was designed by Marijn van der Poll.
The Jetstream aims to meet demands for more flexible work sites. It features a wing-inspired single, big, flat design with clean lines, while the base of the desk comprises of polyester sheath on a steel inner frame. The base is strengthened to provide maximum stability while the worktop surface features a high-gloss lacquer finish.
Van der Poll said, “The Jetstream is symbolic of liberation from the physical constraints imposed by traditional office tables. With the advent and adoption of laptops and PDAs in the corporate world, office executives no longer are nailed to their desks.”
