The 17-level hotel opened in 2009 and houses a total of 176 bedrooms. The kitchen serves its popular Filini restaurant and caters to room service. Altro Stronghold 30 safety flooring has been used to substitute the existing kitchen floor which was split at the seams, hence leading to water leakage. This safety flooring is ideal for commercial kitchens owing to its ease in use in wet and greasy conditions.
The flooring suits heavy traffic areas as it is slip-resistant while being easy to clean. It also provides enhanced durability and sports bacteriostat to prevent bacterial growth. It measures 3mm in thickness which offers added noise reduction, comfort and strength underfoot.
The flooring has been installed by N&S Flooring who prepared the ground with AltroProof Solo. It is a one coat damp-proof membrane which comprises a vapour barrier and provides protection for up to 97% relative humidity. AltroFix 19 Plus has been used to lay down 235 square metres of Altro Stronghold 30. AltroFix 19 Plus is a solvent and water-free two-part polyurethane adhesive, which once cured, remains unaffected by spillages of water and other liquids.
