The company has marketed seasonal products since 1989 under the Holiday Creations name. With its launch into LED lighting in 2004, “Diogen” was adopted as its new name, and it now includes both LED commercial lighting as well as the Holiday Creations division.

The marketing relationship will include personal appearances at trade shows and key industry and customer meetings. Diogen plans to include Begley in its print, video and online materials. In May 2010 in Las Vegas, Begley will appear with Diogen at LightFair 2010, the primary trade show for the lighting industry.

Diogen offers a full range of LED products from task lighting and replacement lamps to street and area lighting. LED technologies have the potential to eliminate the need for more than 30 electrical power plants and reduce the 32-ton annual consumption of mercury required in the production of fluorescent lighting.

Diogen’s LED A-Series of replacement lamps (bulbs) replace a 60-watt incandescent bulb with only 12 watts of power consumption or a 40-watt with only 6 watts of power consumption. In addition to their 30,000-hour life expectancy, A-series bulbs have no filament to burn or break, no glass to break, fit any standard light fixture, remain cool to the touch, emit uniform light and create minimal heat.

Begley has ‘lived green’ for decades. He is a world-renowned conservationist and environmental advocate. His unwavering drive to save energy by using the most efficient technology and tools makes him a perfect fit for Diogen Lighting.
