The walls of this futuristic building are clad with Ward DW1000D Mini Rib secret fix panels with as silver finish, while Ward’s innovative single ply insulated roofdeck – Topdek – was specified for the roof.

Steve Tomlinson, managing director of contractors Multi-Fab Construction Ltd, said: “This was actually the first time we had used Topdek so Ward recommended one of their approved Topdek Partners to install it for us. It was extremely straightforward and the speed in which it went down was very impressive indeed.”

Jim Morton of Honda-appointed architects Morton Wykes Kramer, said: “We use Ward products on most of the new Honda showrooms. We have used their products in the past which is why we are happy to specify Ward’s Mini Rib panels and Topdek for Honda.”

Silver is just one of over 30 colours available in the eco-friendly coating option – Ward XL Forté. This highly durable, pre-coated steel outer skin has excellent UV resistance, advanced colour retention and a warranty of up to 30 years to first maintenance.

All Ward’s Ecosafe composite panels are Green Guide ‘A+’ rated and incorporate a Firesafe Polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation core with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (Zero ODP). Ward composite panels are fully recyclable at end of life, can help to achieve air leakage rates as low as 2m3/hr/m2, and receive a credit under the BREEAM 2006 assessment criteria.

Ward panels are also covered by the WardSure Warranty – a comprehensive warranty package covering all key performance areas of the product.

As an all-in-one single-ply roofing solution, Topdek replaces the individual processes of laying steel decking, vapour control layer, insulation and outer membrane with one simple installation which, compared to traditional built-up roofing systems, is proving to be up to 50% faster to install.
