Opened on 24th January, the 50,000-square foot Quad-Cities Waterfront

Convention Center offers a multitude of services to local communities and businesses.

The two-story center has a meeting and banquet space with 24,000 square feet of space, and can host receptions for over 1,400 people. Of the building’s eight meeting rooms, four can be merged into a single 14,190-square foot area. The small meeting rooms measure 543 to 774 square feet.

The $20 million center also has a theater for 1,400 people, and a banqueting suite that can serve 900 guests. Furthermore, a classroom can take more than 700 seats when at capacity.

The Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center also features a main event hall, four breakout rooms, an elevated stage and a business center. It boasts totally wireless technology, and can broadcast live events from the convention center onto Bettendorf City’s cable channel.

The block-long convention center is linked via a skywalk to Isle’s Paradise Tower hotel (Iowa’s biggest hotel complex), enabling access to an extra 13,520 square feet of function space, more than 500 hotel rooms and space for over 1,000 additional attendants.

The project’s lead designer, Mike Spector, an architect with Downing Architects of Bettendorf, said: “two-story, glass wall is a grand-scale, modern interpretation of the downtown display window, the excitement and the motion associated with the events and activities taking place being the object of display.”

Quad Cities is a meeting destination situated on the Mississippi River in the Midwest. It includes Bettendorf and Davenport of Iowa, Moline/East Moline and Rock Island of Illinois as well as neighboring communities.
