Blanco Crystalline, designed for condo or smaller kitchens, displays a blend of glass and stainless steel. Blanco will unveil the sink at IDS, held at Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto from January 21-24, 2010.

The new sink offers a choice of matte black or white glass elements for a modern look. Blanco Crystalline’s bowls are stainless steel and the faucet ledge and the large flat sink cover are made of glass. The large sink cover, when placed over the sink, completely hides the sink and is designed to serve also as a cutting board. The sink cover is multi-functional as it allows the user to have extra countertop working space.

Crystalline measures only 24 inches in width, and has a large main bowl with small preparatory bowl. As it can be converted into a working space, the sink is considered to be ideal for a small kitchen space.

Other space-saving features featured in the sink include the faucet deck located to the right of the bowl instead of behind the sink. This allows it to be fitted even in small countertops with a tile backsplash. Relatively shallow bowl depths of seven inches permit extra cabinet storage space under the sink.

Crystalline sinks feature Blanco’s innovative new MicroEdge rim design, launched in 2009. The MicroEdge rim is an ultra-thin sink rim that creates a sleek and flawless flush-to-the-counter look. This, in effect, creates the illusion of an expensive flush-mount installation in a sink that easily installs on top of the counter.

The newest and most innovative in international and Canadian products are annually presented by 300 exhibitors at IDS, Canada’s largest contemporary design event.
