The multi-million development includes an upgrade to The Park Hospital’s Level 3 Intensive Treatment Unit for patients in critically ill or unstable condition; and new state-of-the-art operating theatres for a host of medical and surgical procedures including orthopaedic surgery, endoscopy and laparoscopic procedures.
The development programme will also add four operating theatres to the hospital with laminar flow ventilation for reducing infections. One of the theatres will be fully integrated, allowing the surgeon to control more aspects of the surgery and for an efficient way of working. A separate endoscopy unit will also be added.
BMI The Park Hospital with the upgraded facilities will open in late 2011.The hospital is operated by BMI Healthcare, the UK’s largest independent provider of private healthcare.
