Designed by Maber Associates Architects, Bolsover School has incorporated a variety of Altro flooring and walling products, lending a vibrant new look. The products which were installed by Westcotes Flooring Company were designed to withstand the wear and tear of a busy school environment.
Altro Suprema safety flooring has been used throughout the new facility in classrooms, corridors, general circulation areas and toilets. Altro Stronghold flooring and Altro Whiterock wall cladding have been installed in the school kitchens to provide an attractive surface that is both hardwearing and easy to clean. In addition, Altro Walkway safety flooring was installed in the IT rooms, with Altro Timbersafe and AltroSmooth Ethos floor coverings in other teaching rooms.
Bowmer and Kirkland were the main contractors on the site. Andy Lomas, contracts manager for Bowmer and Kirkland said that Altro’s products were found suitable for Bolsover School as they offer aesthetical appearance besides durability and ease of maintenance.
Suitable for general circulation areas, receptions and corridors, Altro Suprema claims to offer all the benefits of a safety floor. The range is available in a variety of colours, is hard wearing and claims to offer slip resistance.
