The lobby of the airport now features replicas of sequoia trees lined up, giving a new dimension of ‘art display’ to the airport.

The new adornment offers passengers the feeling of having entered a forest. The bark on the trees has been hand-sculpted by a company based at Carlsbad in California. The trees displayed are so life-like that travelers tend to touch it to verify whether they are real or fake.

The entire project is part of the $45 million renovation project of the airport’s terminal; the tree replicas cost the airport $1 million.

Fresno Yosemite Airport formerly known as Fresno Air Terminal, is a joint civil-military public airport. The airport covers 2,150 acres and is equipped with two runways and one helipad.
