Finished by natural fibre stiching, Peneira comes in three sizes and nest inside each other. The term Peneira means sieve in Portuguese.
A transparency and blurry is created due to the softness of the metal mesh used in their construction. The final product is softened by the tailoring and natural fiber trimming that have been used to finish the product’s rim.
The project is on show at Die Neue Sammlung museum in Munich as part of the Oggetti e Progetti exhibition on Italian design, whose designer and curator is Alessandro Mendini. The exhibition continues until September 19, 2010.
