Campus Palmas Altas business park was designed for Abengoa, an international green technology company. The building has been designed to offer quality office accommodation around a series of courtyards. Completed in mid-2009, the facility has been pre-certified with LEED-Platinum rating.
CPA comprises seven buildings offering 47,000 square meters of office space across highly compact floor-plates. The design features a series of patios and terraces offering social and link spaces that can be comfortably occupied all year round. These informal spaces are designed to promote communication between the various divisions of the company.
The judges praised the scheme for the integration of sustainable strategy and quality outdoor space in a commercial building.
The annual AIA Excellence in Design Awards Program recognises and honors excellence in design in the UK and around the world.
