Central Connecticut State University, a state university in New Britain, Connecticut has initiated the design work of the new academic building. This project involves building a new four-storey building with an approximate area of 62,640 square feet. The building will house classrooms and offices for history, sociology, political science, geography and the anthropology departments. The new building will be located near Welte Parking Garage, adjacent to Maria Sanford Hall.

The Central Connecticut State University has designed the building in a manner that upon completion, it will meet all the design requirements for LEED Silver certification. Construction is slated to commence by late 2011 and is scheduled for wrap up in mid-2013. The total outlay for the project is estimated to be about $38 million.
