The highlight of the renovation and expansion is the 27-feet-high central atrium of the store, which adds to its aesthetic appeal. The renovation was done in order to make the store sustainable. Several green elements were incorporated into the design.

The store features richly textured green materials, consisting of a cherry Hitchcock panel wall that has been made with reclaimed wood; as well as natural stone feature walls created using recycled Italian stone.

The store boasts several energy- and water-saving fixtures, such as LED lighting and a high efficiency HVAC system, and drip irrigation. The company has used environmentally friendly paints, coatings, adhesives, carpet and flooring.

The company anticipates achieving Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification from the US Green Building Council for the expansion.
