Inspiration

Designer Favaretto & Partners were inspired for Tonica by the stylised and functional design of a horse riding saddle. He translated this into an ottoman series with an attractive design and sublime seating comfort. Tonica can be placed individually, in combination with other furniture or as one large seating area made up of different Tonica elements.

Use

Tonica is the perfect addition to the interiors of the workplace, presentation area or at the reception. Place Tonica in an open space to emphasise the casual atmosphere, slide Tonica to easily create an extra seat or as a decorative element to an unused corner. The various options, sizes, fabrics and finishes make Tonica highly versatile.

Options

The Tonica one-seater can be fitted with a practical storage function for magazines, for example. The space under the seat can be opened by its leather handle.

Provide the table element and the seating islands with electrification to enable power and data supply. Wireless charging is also available.

The standard multiplex oak veneer varnished table element can be optionally equipped with a solid oak or walnut tabletop, either varnished or stained in black or whitewash.

All Tonica elements can be admired in the Casala showrooms in Culemborg (NL), Amsterdam(NL), London (UK), Lauenau (DE) and Garches (FR) by appointment.

About Favaretto & Partners

Favaretto & Partners was founded in 1973 by Paolo Favaretto. Reliability and proven competence have helped the studio of industrial design and interior architecture to establish long-lasting international relationships. This resulted in a variety of designs for furniture and lighting amongst others. Core values of the studio include the relevance in the application of materials and the research for innovation in form and function. In 2009 Francesco Favaretto joined the company. He studied Industrial Design at IUAV University in Venice and graduated in 2006.

Omega is the winner of the German Design Award 2024 in the 'Excellent Product Design' category for 'Furniture'. Casala provides Westminster Abbey in London with 2,200 chairs

On Friday 27th May Casala delivered 2,200 new seats and 21 trolleys to Westminster Abbey in London. A showcase for the furniture manufacturer from Culemborg, The Netherlands. The end result is a customised solution that fits well in terms of both design and use to the needs of the Abbey.
