We are delighted to announce the achievement of the British Board of Agrément (BBA) certification for NB 1 (19/5619i1). Koster NB 1 is a mineral coated waterproofing slurry containing crystallising and capillary-plugging agents. It can be used for waterproofing against ground moisture and for non-pressurized and pressurized water. NB 1 Grey is characterized by its excellent resistance to pressure and abrasion as well as chemical and sulphate resistance.

The Hub, Hattersley

The Hub, Hattersley, Greater Manchester, is a landmark building forming an integral part of a new district centre completed in 2012. The centre was officially opened in 2013 by Hyde MP, Jonathan Reynolds and Ex-Corrie star Julie Hesmondhalgh. The £4m project was designed specifically with a “people” focus, to bring people from different backgrounds together under one roof and to supply a variety of services such as a community centre, library, youth club, police post and café as part of a larger scale regeneration project within Hattersley. The Hattersley estate was built by Manchester council in 1962 to provide homes to residents displaced by a major housing clearance programme.

Waterproofing of Contiguous Piles

Contiguous piles have many advantages in the formation of a retaining wall. This method of construction involves the creation of a line of deep bores that are then back filled with concrete. The advantage of this method of construction is that it is possible to support the adjacent structure before bulk excavation takes place. Contiguous piles are particularly suited to sites with restricted access.
