This exceptional success story began back in 1994 with the Starck 1 range. Philippe Starck’s progressive ideas for the bathroom, which have made waves around the world, embody his phenomenal flair for combining the archetypal with the functional. Philippe Starck was inspired by archetypes, such as the washing bowl, bucket, hand pump and nail, modelling his now classic bathroom range on these templates. The famous Starck barrel also takes up the archaic form of the bucket and the bowl, which it has evolved into a top selling design classic. The range of surface finishes for this timeless piece has since been extended: In addition to the oak real-wood veneers and fine-grained dark Macassar, the design icon is also available in American Walnut and in Black or White High Gloss.
