MR.LIGHT LIMITED carried out a survey of art dealers and oil painting restoration experts and found that conventional incandescent filament and halogen picture lighting were rated as highly damaging to oil paintings because the bleaching effect of heat and UV .
Modern Exterior Luminaires
The MR.LIGHT range of modern exterior luminaires is a simple modern take on the classic half lantern using conventional, LED, CFL and halogen light sources available with clear or acid etched frosted glass lenses and frames generally in matt black but with some bronze and polished nickel options. All lanterns are manufactured and certified to IP44 standard.
Period Half Lanterns
The MR.LIGHT collection of period half lanterns have been designed for installation on projects where modern luminaires are inappropriate and co-ordination with traditional exterior architecture is vital. This range includes Polished nickel, Aged Verdigris, Dark bronze and Polished copper with clear glass lenses using E27 vintage filament, halogen, CFL or LED light sources. All lanterns are manufactured and certified to IP44 standard.
