The 154-guestroom hotel is the latest addition to the Conrad portfolio and is located in the coastal region of the Algarve. Spread over six floors, each of the 154 exquisite guestrooms provides luxurious comfort along with the latest technology. The space combines striking architectural design with a modern interior designed by Sigma in collaboration with Portuguese designer, Miguel Cancio Martins. The design of the hotel is resplendent with a moorish theme, constructed in the form of an 18th century Portuguese palace, with features including bespoke artwork and lighting.
Conrad Algarve offers various dining options such as the open plan signature restaurant Gusto, which fuses contemporary Mediterranean cuisine with Scandinavian-inspired design; the chic Lago Lounge, which offers a stylish indoor and outdoor space serving champagne, classic cocktails and Sri Lankan teas; Louro restaurant serving modern Portuguese cuisine; the South American-inspired Dado, which provides a lively setting with private dining pods; the poolside Sereno for seasonal fresh fruits and artisan ice creams; and the sports bar, Tempo.
Conrad Spa’s Sensory Zone features a tranquil sun terrace with panoramic views and includes a sauna, steam room, hydro massage heated pool, sensory showers, plunge pool and ice fountain. Five spacious treatment rooms, each with outdoor cabana, bring an alfresco element to the spa experience.
The comprehensive wellness facilities at the hotel include a selection of pools where guests can unwind, a state-of-the-art fitness centre by Technogym and tennis courts. A golf concierge service is also available. Conrad Algarve also features a specially created children’s activity menu designed by children, for children. The ‘Little C Palace’ children’s club is suitable for children aged three to 12 and offers a bespoke holiday for younger guests, with a variety of activities to choose from including treasure hunts, baby yoga and mock-tail making.
Meeting and event facilities at Conrad include a range of flexible spaces such as a ballroom complete with panoramic views to six spacious meeting rooms boasting natural light and modern design. All of the dynamic meeting spaces are equipped with Wi-fi access, state-of-the-art audio-visual technology and outdoor terraces.
Conrad Algarve joins 20 Conrad Hotels & Resorts properties around the world, including the recently opened Conrad New York. Conrad Beijing, Conrad Seoul and Conrad Pezula Resort & Spa are also expected to open in late 2012.
