The centre will feature a fitness centre spanning 5,000 square feet , upgraded classrooms, conference rooms and conference suites. The new training room will be equipped with training tables and other physical therapy equipment and offices for staff.

Plans have also been taken for construction of a field house estimated to cost about $10 million. The locker rooms dating back to the 1960s will undergo a facelift. The project further includes refurbishments for the school’s Commons building as well as the library.

The wellness centre has received $2 million in state grants. The state will provide half the funding for the field house with the remaining expected to be received through donations. The renovations had been approved by the school’s board of trustees in 2008 end.
