The four-level facility, housing 158 rooms, is the first Marriott property to be built using Marriott LEED volume certification. It is also the first Marriott property built on US tribal land and imbibes Pima and Maricopa Indian culture into the hotel. The facility features more than 6,000 square feet of functional meeting area and is the only Courtyard property in Arizona to do so.
The lobby of the hotel dons an open, bright and modern look sporting vivid shades. Separate welcome pedestals have taken the place of the hotel’s traditional front desk to boost interaction between the guests and hotel staff during check-in. It has been equipped with various flexible seating facilities such as communal tables in the centre, more private media booths featuring HDTVs, and a more intimate semi-enclosed lounge space. The lobby now also incorporates the GoBoard technology comprising a 55-inch LCD touch screen to offer information on varied topics like news, weather, and directions.
The entire lobby has been fitted with plenty of electrical outlets to power digital equipments, as well as provides Wi-Fi access. The hotel’s enlarged business library consists of multiple computer terminals with a free printer and separate computer stations for printing airline boarding passes and receiving flight updates. The hotel now further houses The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect sporting flexible seating, Bistro Plus, business centre, an outdoor swimming pool with whirlpool spa, fitness centre, guest laundry, and The Market.
