All of the new concessions are located between Gates A12 and A17 in DFW’s Terminal A. The redefined section of Terminal A includes 50% more space allocated for concessions operations while keeping roughly the same number of restaurant and retail outlets. This is done to address projections for passenger counts in 2020 and beyond.
Einstein Bros. Bagels is a casual restaurant which is designed with the chain’s newest contemporary features. It offers a diverse menu selection of its famous fresh-baked bagels, fresh-brewed artisan roasted coffee, signature sandwiches, Super Grains bagels, healthful Smart Choices menu selections, hearty soups and delicious sweets. This is the second DFW airport location for the company, which also operates in Terminal D.
TGI FridaysSM corner bar will serve food and scratch made cocktails to provide an energising Friday feeling. Arizona-based Asian fusion restaurant Ling & Louie’s Asian Bar & Grill has opened its first outlet in the airport. Serving “modern Asian food meets American comfort,” the restaurant offers fresh chef-prepared sushi, value-priced combination meals, vegetarian dishes, gluten-free options and an innovative children’s menu.
DFW Airport is also the first Texas location for the Miami-based artisan bakery Icebox Café, which serves tarts and pies, layered cakes, cupcakes, cookies and brownies. Natalie’s Candy Jar store at Terminal A offers the latest design concept. This self-serve candy store features colour-changing LED lighting, twirling giant lollipops, and more than 400 varieties of conventional, nostalgic and hard-to-find candies, sugar-free treats, nuts and health conscious mixes.
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen features the latest design concept and serves authentic Louisiana-inspired Cajun style foods. Qdoba Mexican Grill store also features the latest design concept at the airport. This artisan Mexican kitchen features freshly prepared Mexican food as well as beers and margaritas.
The famous Texas pit barbeque restaurant also opened its first location at DFW airport. The Salt Lick Bar-B-Que offers a touchscreen at the counter where customers can order. It serves smoked sausage, smoked turkey, sliced brisket or barbecue chicken.
The newly renovated design at McDonald’s airport location features digital entertainment for guests and offers the full line of full-service McCafé beverages. The location also offers its full-service classic menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Teavana has opened its first DFW location, and offers loose-leaf tea and tea products. It also features complimentary tea-tastings for its customers.
As the latest addition to the Vino Volo family, DFW’s only wine tasting lounge features global wine selections and a gourmet wine-friendly food menu. Guests can enjoys wines from around the world by the glass, in tasting “flights”, and by the bottle.
Soundbalance store offers the latest in mobile business hardware, accessories, mobile entertainment devices, as well as media and entertainment. This “green lifestyle” store also balances technology with environment with over 80% of all building materials used to construct the location being recycled content.
Hudson and Dunkin’ Donuts’ latest generation newsstand and travel essentials store at the airport offers selection of Hudson’s Media, Essentials, Marketplace and Destination sections for reading materials, souvenirs and travel essentials, with Dunkin’ Donuts regular/decaf, iced and flavored coffees and a fresh donut or pastry.
GoodFellows Shoe Shine has a built-in location at the airport and features travel kits, personal grooming items such as colognes, hair care and skin care, as well as top-notch shoe shines.
Geppetto’s Toys has also opened its first airport location. The colourful, kid-friendly store features educational and entertaining toys for all ages. Brighton is the newest of three stores at DFW Airport, and offers handcrafted women’s accessories, such as leather belts, handbags and wallets. It also offers polished silver jewelry and keychains, as well as a fashionable collection of sunglasses.
Aquafina Junior Flyer’s Club is the newest children’s play area at DFW. It features activities that encourage children to exercise, with playscapes and an interactive video wall that responds to a child’s movements. The video wall also features an avatar teaching yoga and tai chi poses, as well as dance moves. Also available for parents are bench seats and high wall plugs for recharging devices.
