Located in Mayfair, London, Claridge will showcase the design of Diane von Furstenberg, a longtime guest and friend of the hotel. Furstenberg will bring her iconic prints, bold colors, and original pieces of furniture to the legendary landmark.
With some of her past collections inspired by the renowned hotel, Furstenberg said that she stayed at Claridge as a young, independent businesswoman. Stephen Alden, CEO of Maybourne Hotel Group, said that the collaboration with Diane von Furstenberg is the latest storyline within their history of forward-thinking design.
Diane von Fürstenberg is a Belgian-American fashion designer best known for her wrap dress.
Claridge’s is a traditional grand hotel. Its extensive and old connections with royalty have led to it being referred to as an “extension to Buckingham Palace”. It was founded in 1812 as Mivart’s Hotel, located in a conventional London terraced house and grew by expanding into neighboring houses.
