Featuring a diverse line-up of rides and amusements, all in a controlled environment designed from the concept stage, Sega Republic aims to entertain all age groups, at all levels. With nine attractions, such as spin gear, sonic hopper, half-pipe canyon, storm-g and initial D4 limited, the various attractions of Sega Republic are spread across five themed zones – speed, adventure, sports, cyberpop, and redemption.
While the speed zone is thrilling – with attractions such as the nine meter drop ride ‘sonic hopper’, the adventure zone features ‘spin gear’, a spinning coaster replete with sound and visual effects, themed on the story of an evil attempt to capture Sonic the Hedgehog by his arch nemesis Dr. Eggman.
The sports zone has the latest trendsetting sports simulation games based on real world sports, including half-pipe canyon, a hi-tech snowboarding half-pipe that gives riders the thrill of throttling up and down a seven meter incline at speeds of up to 40km/hr.
The cyber-pop zone has cutting-edge interactive entertainment through a variety of next-generation gaming equipment, virtual experiences and light-hearted fun, while the redemption zone hosts one of the region’s largest selection of redemption games as well as a huge selection of winnable merchandises for all ages.
To celebrate the opening, special introductory offers are available, including the power pass, which gives unlimited access to all nine attractions for the entire day for only AED100 ($27.22), and a pay and play pass, which can be topped up as and when required, available at a start charge of AED10 ($2.72).
Arif Amiri, CEO of Emaar Retail, said that all the attractions have been thoroughly tested to meet international standards for safety and the operating team has undertaken extensive training to ensure the well-being of every guest.
The theme park is open from 10am to 10pm from Sunday to Wednesday, and 10am to midnight on Thursday to Saturday.
