The project will include luminous objects designed by designers from the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia and Romania. The exhibition will represent the use of DuPont Corian to transform light using the creativity of designers.

The Czech Republic is showcasing two light fixtures called Mystery and TouchMe by Jaroslav Bejvl.

Mystery light fixture is designed as a secret space that draws the user to peek inside and unveil it. The shaped edge of the inner space makes it necessary to approach and look inside. The central part of the space has an original form for each implemented object. The object includes an intelligent LED lighting system that uses a remote control to program the colour of light that can also be modelled with a change in intensity.

TouchMe light fixture is designed as an interactive object of a sculptural shape, enabling to play with light. Contact with the surface of the object allows user to perceive the material properties. The shape of the light object is made by contrast of simple, clear areas of the basic skeleton with an organically shaped touch space.

The object emitting a white light in its form is equipped with touch sensors, allowing configuration of additional coloured lighting on the perimeter of the object and in places of touch sensors. The coloured light enhances the organic character of shaped surfaces. Four colour variations can be set in the basic version.

A.M.O.S. design was the technical partner and manufacturer of the Corian part in implementing the concept of the light fixtures. It will be showcased at the new showroom of DuPont Corian Design Studio’ headquarters building, JV Store – Jannelli & Volpi, located at via Melzo 7 in Milan.
