The new visitors center is located in the Dzintari Forest park in the center of Jurmala city. Thanks to its central location within the city, the project is considered as an extension to Jurmala’s infrastructure. The new additions and improved facilities are designed to make the forest a more integral part of the city.
The visitors center is constructed by using a modular system. The facades feature composite panels with polished aluminum surface.
The center design offers many facilities throughout the park including an in-line skating track and skate park, children’s playground, cafes and sports equipment rental. Each amenity is linked by a raised wooden walkway. This is designed to make the park accessible to everyone. Pedestrian bridges cross the skating routes, keeping the two separate.
