Gate is a 10 KW Log burning stove from German firm Conmoto. Designed by Carsten Gollnick, Gate is conceived as a fireplace of decidedly elegant proportions. The combustion chamber is suspended to float in the matt, anthracite-coated steel plate. Noticeably large, vertical glass panes and the brightly gleaming accents of the handles and levers in matt brushed stainless steel provide a contrast in the drama played out between materials and colours.
Dots is a 1 KW Flueless ethanol fire from Conmoto, designed by Studio Aisslinger. Dots is the first time that a fireplace and seating have been brought together to create a portable family product. The cylindrical elements can be assembled on a balcony, on the terrace or in the garden, and together generate a backdrop which lends itself to communication – a modern interpretation of sitting around a campfire. The minimalist design makes experiencing the fire, the genuine focus and creates hours of atmospheric moments both inside and out. The textile cushions are completely weather resistant and can easily be removed and washed. The seating elements are available in two sizes.
Roll is a 2 KW Flueless ethanol fire designed by Sieger Design. Roll Fire provides warmth, wherever it is installed. As it rolls, Roll Fire easily balances its stainless steel tank, mounted on its roller bearings. The two glass panes fitted at the sides render it completely transparent. As it is held in place by magnets, when the tank is being filled with bio-ethanol the glass is lifted. Roll can also be wall mounted.
Origami is a 1 KW Flueless ethanol fire, designed by Schweiger & Viererbl. Origami is an ethanol fireplace which can be hung anywhere around the house without a flue connection, bringing an atmospheric mood to any room. The slanting transition from body to wall symbolises the free dynamics of the fire, an impression rendered subtle in its rudimentary reduced form. Even unlit, Origami can be a cubist item for the modern interior. The seemingly gently folded, slimline outer panel lifts the heaviness of a conventional fireplace, putting the fire at centre stage.
Turn is a 5 KW Log burning stove designed by Schweiger & Viererbl. The new fireplace can be rotated round 360 degrees and can also be locked in position at set increments. The cosy view of the fire can be enjoyed from every conceivable angle. This means that fireplace planning is no longer tied to the living room environment and offers the desired scope for change. In its form, the horizontally located fireplace communicates the lightness of the free-floating fire. The requirement for heat takes centre stage.
