When it comes to current LVT offerings, the Allura offers a remarkable change in design and application.
The ranges themselves span three wear layer versions (0.7/0.55 mm heterogeneous and 2.5 mm homogenous), providing home makers with an opportunity to mix and match according to differing performance requirements.
The high end design collection comprises woods, stones, ceramics and abstracts. Wood design collection features Authentic and Traditional wood that carries the flavour of favourites such as oaks and pines. These come with abstract wood designs, some even with a characteristic metal highlight, which lends it a more contemporary and stylish feel. Designs such as Seagrass Timber, Soft Tiger Wood and Exotic Snakewood have been created to become exciting features of any projects.
There is plenty on offer within the stone range. These include natural stone, concrete, slate, and metal designs. Oxidised and aged iron oblong tiles have been introduced with a classic urban twist. For larger spaces, the ‘A Range of Shades’ tiles, with sophisticated tone-on-tone hues, is perfectly suited. The highlight in the stone range is Ceramics. In ceramics, new production technology has achieved a terrazzo style effect. The tile size and structure lends itself to large scale applications in heavier traffic areas. So these tiles are best suited for places like retail locations. Using these tiles will heighten the overall design aesthetic, and at the same time bring down installation cost and maintenance.
The chic interpretations of natural materials lend the tiles an individual surface texture. It reflects the print design and gives the collection an authentic yet wholly distinctive look. To create a realistic effect, stripping can be used in combination with planks and/or tiles.
The abstract range is a particularly innovative addition to the collection. The Metal Mesh and Woven designs of this range use a metallic palette to wear a modern look. Abstract range, like abstract wood, also comes with digital printing. Line’s and Uni’s are creations made possible by six colour, four metre wide designs printed at 600 dpi for pin sharp vivid effects.
New Allura is also differentiated through technical performance. To avoid shrinkage and allow larger, more realistic designs, this range is made using a dimensionally stable glassfleece interlayer. Allura also has a tough calendared wear layer and flexible PUR finish.
Manufacture of Allura LVT is now at one of Forbo’s European production sites, and as a result specifiers can rest assured that the collection meets the highest European standards and is REACH (Registration Evaluation Authority and Restriction of Chemicals) compliant.
