Phase I of the medical center, completed by A&P in February 2009, is a finalist in the Best Medical Project category. Phase III, which A&P is expecting to start later this year, is a finalist in the category of Best Green Project—Private.

Phase I, a 66,000 square feet 24-bed medical and surgery center, has completely transformed the 20-acre site, which had been occupied by a car dealership built on the site of a former drive-in theater, and has brought economic benefit to that area of the city.

A&P also recently began construction on Phase II of Forest Park, a 72,000 square feet medical office building.

Phase III, a new 275,000 square feet surgical hospital, incorporates several sustainability features in line with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) silver certification level.

A&P is one of the top 50 construction companies in the US, providing construction management, design/build and general contracting services to public and private clients. A&P serves the K-12 school, energy, healthcare, higher education, municipal, multi-family, retail, and senior living market segments from its offices in Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas and Washington.
