The new contemporary six-story boutique hotel features 100 rooms, five individually-themed suites and a Presidential Suite.

Hong Kong-based architecture and interior design firm LCL Architects has designed the hotel’s glass facade and luxury rooms. The arrival spaces and restaurants are designed by internationally acclaimed interior designer Andre Fu.

The hotel features a 17-meter wide lobby at the historic Clifford Pier, an important heritage site which saw the arrival of various Singapore’s early settlers. The interiors of the hotel are adorned with vintage nautical maps and commissioned contemporary art that reflect the celebration of heritage and modernity in the Lion City.

LCL Architects has used polished rosewood and latticed screens as well as leather and chrome in the bedrooms to offer a refined atmosphere. The rooms are dominated with natural palette throughout. Classical elements are blended with state-of-the-art in-room technology.

The total of six suites including the Presidential Suite is individually themed to mirror Singapore’s rich cultural background consisting of cosmopolitan population including Chinese, Malay, Indian, Peranakan and Colonial. They are located on the upper three stories of the hotel facing the Marina Bay waterfront.

The themed suites are named after the ex-Governors of the Straits Settlement: Sir Hugh Clifford, Sir Shenton Thomas, Sir William Cleaver Francis Robinson, Sir John Anderson and Major General Sir William Orfeur Cavenagh. Each of these suites is adorned with bespoke artwork and antiques alongside contemporary pieces that embody the spirit unique to the suite’s theme.
