Workstories, a designer and producer of furniture for workspaces, has merged with Roger Lewis, a specialist in precision joinery and upholstery.

The merger aims to enhance both companies’ positions in British furniture design and manufacturing.

Workstories and Roger Lewis have enjoyed a longstanding partnership, built on shared values of quality and innovation. This new chapter builds on that foundation. Roger Lewis will continue to operate as an independent brand while serving as a manufacturing partner to Workstories.

Michael Sullivan, group finance and operations director at Workstories, stated: ‘This strategic partnership enhances our ability to control quality while maintaining lead times. Over time, it will allow us to broaden our product offering through expanded upholstery capabilities, expert craftsmanship, and exceptional service. Importantly, this move supports our long-term sustainability goals by deepening our investment in British manufacturing and giving us greater oversight of how our products are made.’

Danny Williams, managing director of Roger Lewis, added: ‘We’re incredibly proud of our heritage, from our roots in the 1980s, to today’s bespoke commercial offerings crafted in our Frome factory. Joining forces with Workstories ensures we can do more of what we do best, bringing together two like-minded British companies with a shared dedication to craft, quality, and innovation.”

Roger Lewis was founded in the late 1980s by designer Roger Lewis. The company transitioned to the commercial market in 2013, providing bespoke solutions for large-scale projects.
