Designed by KTGY Group, the architecture of the project will utilise a mission-style uniform colour scheme with contrasting materials and details with subtle punches of accent colour in architectural features. It will consist of a three-storey “C” shaped building, wrapping itself around an enclosed landscaped courtyard and acting as an outdoor extension of the community room with pedestrian access to parking and entry spaces.
The project will include community room, computer room, laundry facility, courtyard area with barbecue, community gardens, benches, lighting and landscaping, gate, and fencing.
The 2525 El Camino Real Senior Apartments will be constructed using sustainable building methods and will incorporate a number of ‘green’ features to ensure its long-term energy-efficiency and sustainability. The development will cost around $15,000,000.
The development will offer 48 one-bedroom apartments that are affordable to seniors with annual incomes that are at or below 60% of the Santa Clara County Area Median Income.
The property will open in summer 2013.
