Under the agreement, Galanz will produce a comprehensive line of Hamilton Beach and Proctor Silex-branded microwave ovens.

Los Angeles-based new business development consultancy Brand Sense Partners assisted the companies in developing and negotiating the license deal.

The full line of Hamilton Beach and Proctor Silex microwave ovens will be introduced at the International Home & Housewares Show in Chicago and after that it will be available in the market.

Susan Watson, senior manager of strategic business development at Hamilton Beach, said that expanding the Hamilton Beach and Proctor Silex brands into microwave ovens will be a valuable option for consumers.

Galanz has 50% of the market share for countertop microwave ovens, worldwide.
