The 1800’s French Fauteuil chairs range comprises of three styles – Marina, Treaty, and Blair. Each chair has its own distinguishing characterisitc. The different look of the chairs are rendered by the use of varying leather and wood finishes.
The designer used the original frame designs as the backdrop and then gave the range his own distinguishing touch, such as gilt nail heads in unexpected places, finely carved front legs, and exotic leather coverings. The new products, though briefly remind about the Parisian antique, but has a contemporary fashion, which amalgamates timeless and avant-garde.
The Blair is marked by its feminist design, which is reflected by its curvaceous arms and strategically-placed floral carvings. Hancock & Moore is offering three distinct version of these chairs, which includes a Maxi Magenta leather and ebony finish pairing, or a combination of shabby-chic Bisque wood finish and dark purple leather for a glam-cottage vibe. The chairs are 41” high, 27” wide and 28” deep.
The Treaty chairs more clearly hints of 1800s charm. The range has iterated several elements of the antique chairs, which include its wood frame design and ornate carving. The chairs are offered in two colour variants and are 40.75” high, 25.5”wide and 27” deep.
The Marina range has minimal carving and is accented with bronze nail heads and French Pine wood finish. Available in royal blue leather on the seat and armrests, it has paisley fabric in royal blue coloured on the back. The chairs are are 40.5” high, 25.5”wide and 29” deep.
