Hanford Hotels expects to invest more than $7 million for the recreation and redesign of the hotel. The hotel features 225 rooms, including a complete redesign of its exterior, guestrooms and public spaces. The hotel’s exterior will receive new architectural lighting, signage and a porte-cochere. The interior of all the guestrooms and public spaces, including the lobby, meeting rooms, restaurant, and bar will be completely redesigned, decorated and furnished to reflect a contemporary hotel.
Donald Sodaro, president and CEO of Hanford Hotels, said that they had the unique opportunity to develop a hotel concept from the ground up, which will offer a truly memorable guest experience through original design, upscale amenities, and personal attention, and the Hotel Hanford will offer Orange County business travelers, visitors and residents the option to stay at a premium hotel with a distinctive personality.
The hotel will remain open during the reconstruction, which is scheduled to begin by late 2009 and will be completed by March 2010. Hanford Hotels has assembled an experienced team for the construction and redesign project, including, Orange County-based firm CRHO Architects, construction contractor Peter Trapolino, and in-house interior designer Martha Burke.
