The Hilton Hotels Corporation offshoot has seen approvals surge since introducing the Design Option III prototype, from 10 hotels in 2006 to more than 30 a year in 2007 and 2008.

The prototype is similar to conventional Embassy Suites Hotels, however it provides developers with a more flexible layout, requires less land, and reduces building costs. Nearly 75% of the brand’s hotels are planned for development according to this prototype.

Situated in Ridgeland, Mississippi, the 145-suite upscale property features a three-and-a-half story atrium with check-in pods, a waterfall, and 1,000 gallon koi fish pond at the front of the hotel. The side-by-side suite layout with residential feel allows sunlight to penetrate the bedroom and living room which includes mobile furniture.

The property has four meeting rooms totaling covering 5,000 square feet.

The new hotel features the Flying Spoons Restaurant, a new concept restaurant that targets leisure and business guests alike. Situated in the hotel lobby, the restaurant resembles an American coffeehouse and European-style café. The restaurant has bar-height seating and casual furniture.

The hotel is owned by Ridgeland Hotel Partners, LLC and managed by Kana Hotel Group.
