The ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new Bosley Hall, the former Baltimore County jail in Towson, was held on 7 February 2011. The 8,124 square feet structure, which includes former Warden’s Home and Jail, underwent a historically correct and comprehensive restoration, upgrading it as a state-of-the-art office spaces.

The restored three-storey building features offices, a communal conference room and a restaurant with a spacious patio. The $1.7 million renovation project also include plans for a future cafe and wine storage.

Azola Companies worked in consultation with the Maryland Historical Trust to decide on what features of the original interiors should be retained and removed. About 24 cells are retained, with some of them converted into bathrooms and office utility kitchens. Parts of steel bars frame some doorways and serve as wall fixtures.

Azola Companies has been specializing in tough rehab projects for over 35 years in Maryland. The jail restoration project marks the reintroduction of the building after years of non-use, deterioration and financial drain.
