The city council has unanimously approved Grandview Medical Center’s plans to build the $8 million addition to the Huber Health Center. The new facility will feature 12 treatment rooms, a triage room, an ortho-cast room, respiratory therapy quarters and a complex care room.
The ED, which sits on the site of the former urgent care, will be equipped with new equipments including CT, X-ray, digital mammography and MRI. The former urgent care facility was demolished as part of the building renovation and is currently operating within the two-story expansion which opened in January, 2010.
The new addition at Huber Health Center will not feature inpatient beds, and about 14,000 square feet on the top floor will be a shelled space designated for any future use. This new addition will mark the completion of a two-year, three-phase renovation.
Grandview Medical Center is a part of Kettering Health Network which also includes Kettering Medical Center, Sycamore Medical Center, Southview Medical Center, Greene Memorial Hospital and Kettering Behavioral Medicine Center.
