The project has incorporated the latest in healthcare innovation, technological advancements and design features in an attempt to make the 103-year old hospital a state-of-the-art facility.
The expanded 101,000 square feet facility features 21 new private patient rooms, nine new private exam rooms, two new trauma rooms, and three new operating suites. Two new laboratories, for both clinical and patients, and a pneumatic tube system are some another additions to the hospital. Each patient room is equipped with wireless Internet.
The hospital commenced the expansion and renovation project in mid-2008. The hospital will start admitting patients from May 23, 2010.
