Built on 3.7 acres along Brooks Lake in Lake Pointe Town Center, the 135,000 square feet Hyatt Place is a mixed-use, urban village-style development at the northwest corner of Highway 6 and US 59.

Hyatt Place, launched in 2006, has grown to more than 135 hotels nationwide. The joint venture would develop the second Hyatt Place in the Greater Houston area. The guestrooms, offering separate areas for work, relaxation and sleep, will feature 42 inches, flat-panel, high-definition televisions, the Hyatt Grand Bed – an eight feet sectional sofa-sleeper, and the Hyatt Plug Panel, which connects portable media devices directly into the HDTV.

The facility greets guests in the gallery or public space by a gallery host who can assist them with everything from check-in to preparing a meal or snack. The gallery also features two self-registration kiosks, a 24-hour guest kitchen, bakery cafe, a coffee and wine bar, and an E-room offering public computers and a printer.

Jason Gregorek, director of development for Hyatt, and King Scovell, Woodbine’s director of Hyatt Place development, represented the Hyatt-Woodbine partnership in the transaction.
