Located next to the Guayaquil International Airport, the seven-storey new hotel is part of a 20-year franchise agreement with BPO Asesores Empresariales and is the second IHG hotel to be located in Ecuador, the first being the Holiday Inn Express Quito.
The Holiday Inn Guayaquil-Airport will incorporate a contemporary, innovative design. The new hotel will feature an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, lobby bar, restaurant and three meeting rooms. The new hotel is scheduled to open in 2012.
When completed, Holiday Inn Guayaquil-Airport will incorporate elements of the completed $1 billion Holiday Inn global brand relaunch, which includes a renewed focus on quality, improved arrival and welcome features, enhanced bedding and showers, a “Stay Real” service culture and a new, up-to-date look, including the redesigned logo and signage.
The hotel will also feature business-focused amenities such as an ergonomic work station, data ports, high-speed internet access and WiFi capabilities. Each room of the hotel will include the standard Holiday Inn guestroom accommodations: comfortable double, queen or king-sized beds, a sitting area with a lounge chair, cable television, hairdryer, coffee maker, iron and ironing board. Bathrooms will include a specially designed showerhead, as well as a signature shower curtain with curved rod and new amenities.
The hotel’s convenient location next to the city’s main airport and key commercial and banking districts of the Kennedy Norte neighborhood make it suitable for business travelers.
