The Holiday Inn Express Matthews will be one of the first Holiday Inn Express hotels to be opened in the Charlotte metro area with the brand’s new sign, which is the seal of approval that they exemplify the standards of the $1 billion Holiday Inn brand relaunch program.
Relaunched hotels such as the Holiday Inn Express Matthews feature upgraded and de-cluttered lobby areas; a Holiday Inn Express signature scent and sound; new exterior lighting; and new signage with the redesigned logo.
The 69-room hotel is located at 9420 East Independence Boulevard and just minutes from the CPCC Levine Campus, and the corporate offices of Family Dollar, Harris Teeter and Hendrick. The hotel also provides immediate access to a number of Charlotte attractions including the Carolina Courts, Extreme Ice Center and the future state-of-the-art Sportsplex.
The hotel features newly enhanced complimentary Express Start breakfast bar. The hotel has special in-room amenities such as free high-speed Internet access, microwave and 32 inch flat panel HDTVs. Additionally, there is wireless Internet access throughout the hotel, a business center, an indoor pool and a fitness center. The SimplySmart shower incorporates a proprietary Stay Smart Kohler showerhead, signature shower curtain with curved rod, upgraded 100% cotton terry towels and a custom line of cinnamon-scented bath products.
The guest rooms feature SimplySmart bedding collection and new crisp fresh bedding which features an attractive decorative throw, a medium-weight duvet blanket and soft 200 thread-count sheets.
The Holiday Inn Express and Suites Matthews is owned by OHM Hotels, and managed by OHM Hotels Management Company under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
