The 37-week programme will involve a comprehensive refurbishment of Cranborne House, which includes 500 study bedrooms, 75 kitchens, common areas, ground floor reception and exterior landscaping. This accommodation is arranged in 78 clusters across ten-storeys.
The existing kitchens will be replaced. All communal and bedroom areas as well as bathroom pods will be upgraded with new furniture to be installed in the study bedrooms. The project will also include few demolition works, which will relocate a new reception at ground floor level and refurbishment of six existing lifts.
At Cranborne House, mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrade work will be carried out. The existing electric storage heating provision will be replaced with a modern and highly efficient gas fired system. The bicycle storage facilities and refuse disposal area will also be relocated and improved. The project will also involve creation of new walkways, seating areas and feature landscaping elements as part of a general exterior enhancement scheme.
ISG will finish the entire project in a single phase.
